At Immanuel, we believe children are not just the future of the church—they are an important part of the church right now!
Our Faith Formation time takes place during Sunday worship, immediately following the Prayer of the Day. Children gather together for an engaging lesson using Wonder on the Go, a ministry of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Urbandale, Iowa.
Through Bible stories, conversation, activities, and hands-on learning, children explore the same Scripture and themes being heard in worship that day. This gives families opportunities to continue the conversation about faith long after Sunday morning.
After Faith Formation, children return to worship and join the congregation for Holy Communion and the remainder of the service.
At Immanuel, we want our children to know that they belong, they are loved, their questions matter, and God is with them wherever they go!
